Second Johnny Cash Music Festival Scores Another Big Hit At ASU

It was a "one of a kind show," noted participant Dierks Bentley--one for which even he pulled out a Sharpie in order to have Willie Nelson sign his guitar.

For Rosanne Cash, who hosted the second annual Johnny Cash Music Festival at the Arkansas State University (ASU) Convocation Center in Jonesboro Friday night, the concert, which also starred "young pups" the Civil Wars in addition to Bentley and Nelson, demonstrated how "we can lose people, but we never lose the love they leave behind--and we never lose the music."

This certainly applied to her father’s music, who was celebrated from the start: a vintage TV performance by Johnny Cash of his classic "Five Feet High And Rising," that preceded Rosanne's own poignant version of his "I Still Miss Someone" backed solely by her husband John Leventhal on guitar.
