The Incongruous City

Mrs L sees and hears it on the streets of Manhattan

Wednesday, June 10

I was in an elegant restaurant, sitting near an elderly, well-dressed couple and could not help overhearing this comment from the woman to her male companion: "Well, the MOST adventurous people in MY college were the nymphomaniacs who became lesbians." The man merely nodded in silent understanding. I’m not making this up.

I recently had a similar experience in a restaurant. Two “blue haired” ladies were chatting over dinner and one asked the other, “Did you get the BONNAROO (music festival similar to Woodstock) tickets yet?”. They didn’t appear to be nymphos or lesbians.

Just returned from Bonnaroo.  I am almost 50, so could be considered almost bluehaired!  Bonnaroo is not only for the young.  We had a great time and Roseanne should consider playing there.  She would fit right in.

huh? I really wanted to comment but - I think for once I’m at a loss for words.
PS:  On another subject tho - Hey Mrs. L, what’s up with the new book?  Is that project still in the works? Any info - pa-lease??? Thanks - love the new “April” song.
